Important Pre-season info for Juniors
Below we have outlined some important information for our Junior families.
Please read carefully and don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have any questions.
Friday, 27th January: Online Registrations Due
Please visit http://www.myfootballclub.com.au/index.php?id=38 to register to play with us this season. While we will still take registrations after 27/1, players registering later run the risk of teams being full, not being able to play in their preferred team or with their friends etc. We also commence the process of finding coaches for teams from this point onward.
If you know others intending to register or interested in playing for us this year, please encourage them to register online ASAP.
We anticipate U6 – U9 Teams and Coaches will be advised the week beginning Monday, 13th February.
Friday, 10th February: U12 – U16 Grading Session 1 (Top Oval from approx 5.30pm)
Grading is necessary for ALL players (those born 2001 – 2005) who want to play in the junior competition. Further details will be provided closer to the time, but please ensure your child will be available for this session.
Friday, 17th February: U12 – U16 Grading Session 2 (Top Oval from approx 5.30pm)
As for Session 1 above.
Friday, 24th February: available for U12 – U16 grading if required (in the event previous grading sessions are washed out etc.)
U12 – U16 Teams and Coaches will be advised within a few days of the completion of grading.
Friday, 24th February: Grading Session 1 for U10 and U11 (players born 2006 and 2007)
Please note, grading is NOT compulsory for players in these age groups.
- If your child doesn’t want to be graded (or you would prefer they weren’t graded), they will automatically go into a team in the new Community Division.
- Players who want to be considered for a team in the new Challenge Division will need to attend grading.
- Please let us know by email if your child WILL or WILL NOT be attending grading so we can plan accordingly. A reminder will be sent out closer to the time. 🙂
We understand grading for these age groups is a significant change to previous years, however please be assured it is our aim to make the transition as smooth as possible for all players and families with as little disruption as possible but still getting players in the Division best suited to them at this time.
Friday, 3rd March: Grading Session 2 for U10 and U11 (ie players born 2006 and 2007)
The second grading session may/may not be required, depending on numbers, outcome of the first session, weather etc. For now, please assume players will be required this session. More information will be provided closer to the time.
U10 and U11 Teams and Coaches will be advised within a few days of the completion of grading.
Friday, 3rd March: Pickup of Socks and Shorts (all Junior and Senior Players) from 3.30pm at the top canteen, Kratzke Road
- For those juniors who ordered new socks and shorts, or who want to purchase new shorts and socks, these will be available to collect/purchase.
- We anticipate the senior socks and shorts will also be available to collect/purchase at the same time.
Please keep an eye on your emails and/or Facebook for any updates.
Weekend of Fri 3rd, Sat 4th and Sunday 5th March: First Senior Games
Saturday, 11th March: First Competitive Junior Games (U12 – U16)
Saturday, 18th March: First MiniRoos Games (U6 – U11)
