BEFORE your shift in the canteen.
Volunteers are an integral part of our Club as we are run entirely on the efforts of these people.
Here at Highfields FC we aim to develop a culture that recognises and values the huge contribution our volunteers make.
We are always looking for more people to help. There are many, many ways you can take part – from helping at the canteen when you are rostered on, being a team manager for your child’s team, coaching, co-ordinating events, becoming a member and taking part in decision making or taking a position on the Executive.
On Home Game Days, there are some extra activities required to ensure the smooth running of the day and to ensure we give our visitors a great experience when they come to our fields to play.
On home game days, we will need the help of volunteers throughout the day. Each family from the club will be rostered on for ONE shift in the season for an hour and a half. It is a very fun, social atmosphere where you will be serving very friendly customers. Our convenors are happy to manage all the cooking, however you are welcome to assist if you’re confident. Our Volunteer Coordinator Emily O’Sullivan will put together a roster each home game and email it out to the families who need to provide a volunteer for that week. If you are unable to attend your allocated time, you will be required to swap with another family and contact Emily to let her know.
At the end of the day, the last team on each field is responsible for Put Away. This is a quick 5 minute job where we ask you to bring the goals and nets up to the shed.
